This past Friday my parents came to visit. I drove up to Columbia to pick them up since they couldn't get a flight into Savannah. After I picked them up at the airport and we had a quick lunch, we drove to Sumter, my hometown. We drove around the town for a little bit and of course we had to drive past my childhood home. Every time I go past it, I want to go ring the doorbell and ask if I can walk around.

Here is a picture of a baby crab in my oyster.

We were in Sumter for the evening attending a surprise 50th birthday dinner for my moms sister, Linda. I think the party was a success, she looked surprised when she came in. After the party we drove back down to my house. We were all exhausted since we didn't get here until about 12:30. When we finally got up and ready the next day, we went and had lunch at Hudson's before my parents had to be back to the airport. Lunch was great with the exception of the appetizer. We ordered a half bucket of oysters. I am not a huge fan of oysters anyway, but I think every other one we opened had little baby crabs in them. I was so grossed out I could not eat them. I don't think I would do well on one of those reality shows where you have to eat something gross.
Here are my parents at lunch.
